1. Argentina mounts comeback against Egypt, scores 3x in the last 15 mins to win a match that definitely wasn’t rigged at all. And while we technically lost to Belgium in soccer, we clear them in every category that matters.

  2. United will face lawsuit after charging customers extra for window seats on planes that did not have windows. Seems about right to me. While you’re at it, can you guys address this too? It’s really getting annoying.

  3. Graham Platner faces pressure to step down from Maine election after new sexual assault charges. I’ll never understand why anyone would run for office, let alone someone who has all these skeletons. Why wouldn’t that get out?

  4. Djokovic wins 5 hour, 15 minute Wimbledon match to advance to a 2025 semifinal rematch against Sinner. To do that at 39 is absolutely absurd. His entire caree might be the only time taking a loan from the Mafia was worth it.

  5. Mitch McConnell health theories swirl entering his 4th week of hospitalization, raising the potential for an emergency Senate seat election. My theory: he is at the Love Island UK villa and will be a bombshell in 3 episodes. Heads are going to turn.

WHAT ELSE IS GOOD

I wish John Oliver would give up on this whole “having a successful late-night show” schtick & focus on his soap acting. His performance in General Hospital was podium.

This has finally transcended the Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars fiasco as the slap I think the most about on a day to day basis.

Gotta give a massive shoutout to this kid at a sports broadcasting camp who can recite the schedule and result of every single 2009 NFL team. That’s a level of ball knowledge that needs to be protected, cherished and shepherded for all eternity.

Might be the only kid alive who could have stumped the Schwab in his prime. Bring that show back btw.

Tough look for Spurs announcer Jacob Tobey, who was exposed on his own IG stories for cheating on his gf with the sister of Spurs player Lindy Waters. This interview got me. The juxtaposition of the serious topic with Castle in the background is 10/10.

TBT to the girl who’s hall pass was Lindy Waters. This family is just incredibly irresistible

We might have the Florida Man of the year, if not the decade and it’s the 71 year old gentleman who fought off an alligator with his bare hands and a fishing pole after it dragged him into a canal. This man had a guardian angel and his name is Chubbs.

The Florida man made a full recovery. He might even be able to salvage a golf career out of this.

I’ve watched this clip of a minor league announcer who sound effect-maxxed to the fullest during his game probably 100x. Just an elite use of your seat at the table.

Still not as cool as a high level organ player, but pretty damn close. The perfection combination of skill, knowledge, and sense of the moment

I don’t throw this around lightly, but we might have the Dog of the Decade and it’s this husky that scared off a bear that was charging a child in a family’s lawn. Build the statue.

Why the bear look like that?

HUMP DAY HIPPO PAINTING

If an alligator can’t beat a 71 year old Florida man, it stands no chance against a hippo in heat

Not usually a painting guy but this is absolutely stunning. Really love the brushstrokes here. Apparently, this was painted by Pieter Paul Reuben, a Baroque painter (any relation to Obama?) who had never even seen a hippo before.

He just like, had heard it described and then drew what he thought it looked like. For most of you reading this, this is what would happen if someone asked you to paint a woman who could tolerate you. Sorry if that’s harsh, but it’s true.
